Purpose of the Laboratory
This laboratory was designed and established to teach the fundamentals of material mechanics experiments to undergraduate students.
Mission of the Laboratory
It is actively used by Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering students throughout the experimental engineering course and in response to student requests.
Research and Application Areas
The laboratory offers applications for various undergraduate courses. These include: Dynamics, Statics, Strength of Materials, Mechanical Vibrations, Materials Science, etc.

"Torsion of Materials" experiment, "Truncation Systems" experiment, "Bending of Beams" experiment, "Universal Vibration System" experiment, "Euler Buckling" experiment, and "Universal Material Testing" experiment
Hardware Information
Truncation Systems: unit frame, truss rods, nodes, loading unit, dial gauge.
Euler Buckling: Unit frame, simple and fixed supports, torsion bars, weights.
Universal Material Testing: UTS device, force gauge, grips, dial indicator, handwheel, hydraulic system, tensile, compression, shear, and stiffness specimens, data acquisition system, computer.
Torsion of Materials: Unit frame, drill chuck, angle scale, test specimens, moment wheel, pulley, weight rack, weights.
Universal Vibration System: Movable table and frame, pendulum platform, rod and rope pendulums, adjustable spring rider, additional weight platform, springs, weights, vernier depth gauge, beam, oscillation exciter, viscous damper, stockbridge damper, cylinder plotter/recorder, micrometer contact, control unit, computer.
Bending of Beams: Unit frame, simple and fixed supports, dynamometers, dial indicators, beam specimens, weight rack, weights.
