Internship Stages
Students who will complete an internship must start their internship procedures through the ITU Portal on time, upload the required documents within the specified deadlines, and submit their internship report and related documents through the Portal and Ninova at the end of the internship.

Note: Students must follow the current announcements made through the ITU Portal, Ninova, and the relevant units during the internship process. Completing document upload, approval, and submission procedures within the specified deadlines is the responsibility of the student.
a) Before Starting the Internship

The internship record must be opened on the ITU Portal.
The student must open the internship record through the ITU Portal at least 15 days before the internship start date.

The required documents must be prepared and uploaded.
At least 10 days before the internship start date, the following documents must be downloaded, printed, signed by the student, approved by the company, combined into a single PDF file, and uploaded to the Portal:
- Internship Agreement and Appendix-1 Internship Application Form
- Student Internship Work Schedule

Approval from the Department Internship Commission must be obtained.
The Department Internship Commission evaluates the application and approves eligible applications at least 4 days before the internship start date.

Insurance registration is completed.
The Career and Internship Center completes the insurance registration 3 days before the internship start date. The SSI Employment Entry Declaration is uploaded to the Portal and sent to the student's registered e-mail address.
b) After Starting the Internship

Appendix-2 Internship Start Form must be approved by the company and uploaded by the student to the internship module on the Portal within the first 5 days of the internship.

During the internship, the student must download the internship report cover page and template pages from the Portal and start preparing the internship report in daily page format.
c) After Completing the Internship

Appendix-3 Internship Completion Form must be completed, approved by the company, and uploaded to the internship module on the Portal within 5 days after the internship end date.

The internship report must be approved by the company and uploaded to the Portal within the period specified in the relevant internship principles.

The internship report and other internship documents must also be uploaded to the assignment section of the currently open internship course on Ninova so that they can be evaluated and archived.
Corrections, Delays, and Excuse Cases

In case of a delay or an excuse related to internship registration, document upload, or changes in internship information, the student must apply to the Department Internship Commission together with the relevant excuse document.

If corrections are requested in the internship report, the student is given 2 weeks to complete the corrections.

If the report is not submitted on time or is rejected for a second time, the internship may be considered unsuccessful.
Internship Areas, Type, Content, and Prerequisites
The internship areas, type, duration, content, and any prerequisites for students of each department are determined by the Department Internship Supplementary Principles, which enter into force upon the proposal of the Department Internship Commission and the approval of the Faculty Board.
Internship Report and Submission Process
After each internship, the student must prepare an internship report describing the work carried out during the internship. The internship report must be prepared in daily page format using the cover page and template pages downloaded from the Portal and must be approved by the company.
After the internship report and related documents are uploaded to the Portal, they must also be uploaded to the assignment section of the relevant internship course on Ninova. Students at the graduation stage must complete their submissions on time by taking into account the final internship entry dates specified in the academic calendar.
